What is in a name? A lot, apparently.
Take a look, ladies and gents: Vanasse Studios is no longer. Nothing to fret about, just a fun branding shift.
For over two years now, I've been shooting / running this portrait business on my own (for those of you who are new here, I used to work with my husband, Drew). When his side of the business began to demand more attention, I took on full responsibility for running Vanasse Studios. I was terrified at first, until Drew lovingly reminded me that this really was my passion, my calling all along. Somewhere on this crazy path, I finally started to believe him.
So, here's what it came down to: why should I hide behind a "business name"? We came up with the name Vanasse Studios because it was a combined, husband/wife effort, and because, at the time, we felt it made us look / feel more official.
Over those years, as I developed both as a businesswoman and a human being, I realized a couple key things.
One. My "brand" was much more powerful when I infused it with my own life, personality and experience.
Two. The whole reason I do exactly what I do is for personal connection. Celebrating it, capturing it, seeking it. So why shouldn’t my brand name be... personal?
I’m excited to see where this shift takes me, and thank you, as always, for coming along for the ride.
Hi, I’m Tasha Vanasse. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer, and I seriously dig what I do.
Feelin' the love? Let's talk. I'd love to know you.
