christmas

catch up | bainbridge island portrait photographer

Wow. How crazy the last few months have been! It's been good crazy, though. As the last post mentioned, we spent Thanksgiving on the road traveling to San Diego, where we photographed a dear friend's wedding. Less than a week later, we were over in Phoenix, photographing another wedding. After that, the few weeks leading up until (our beautiful snowy) Christmas rushed by, after which we photographed two more weddings! Such a wonderful way to cap off a very full, very emotional year. On Christmas day, I convinced each of my family members to sit for an individual portrait, which I've been wanting to do for some time. It was such a joy to spend a little one on one time with those I love, and to let their personalities shine through in each photo.

Here's my favourite-- of course, it's of the one and only.

More to come, plus wedding photos galore!

for now

Today is Thanksgiving: take one. Take two will begin tomorrow with the epic trip out to Phoenix and the Vanasses, in a truck that up until a few days ago... didn't work. Here's hoping (and praying) we'll get there safely. Today, Jamie is coming down from Escondido, and we are going to cook our little brains out (not literally... ew).

On the menu? Roasted chicken (that's right folks, my oven is so small it won't even fit the smallest turkey we could find), grilled asparagus, sauteed apples, mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie!

As this miraculous event has not happened yet, there are no photos. So here's something Christmasy to tide you over.
