High school seniors are always such a pleasure to photograph. M is no exception-- just look at that smile! It was so lovely to spend the evening with M and her mom down at Blakely Harbor.

I know you're not supposed to play favourites, but when someone makes me laugh, they jump pretty immediately to the top of my list. Taye and I had such a blast during her senior session. I had to continuously remind myself to actually take photos, mostly because we spent 95% of the time chattering at the speed of light, and giggling uncontrollably. This is one of the reasons I adore doing senior photos-- not only do I get to capture photos of these guys and girls at one of the most exciting times of their lives, but I get to soak up some good old fashioned youthfulness (I know, I'm not that old, but still). Their plans, their potential, their excitement about life... all good things.
For some reason, I'm usually a bigger fan of "serious" photos, but the way T's laugh lights up her whole face forced me to reconsider.

Oh Georgia... rockin' faye bainbridge and prichard park lookout. makin' me feel old (mostly because I just found my senior photos, taken 10 years ago), reppin' the Bainbridge Island Class of 2016. These are some of my favourite senior photos to date. Georgia definitely nails the "serious" look, which she told me comes very naturally (ah, a girl after my own heart). I just love the depth of that serious look... a smile's not the only thing that can light up a face.
