Caitlin and Jon were married in Bend, OR a couple weeks back, and afterward threw a simply lovely reception at Opal 28 in Portland. Always a pleasure to photograph there, and always a pleasure to see and photograph these two kind humans. Thanks for having me, C + J.

Cadence + Rob hold the distinction of being my very first solo wedding since our move to Portland. They were married last March (almost a year ago now), and are just about the loveliest people you'll ever meet. Their Oaks Pioneer Church ceremony was such a warm affair, with such deliciously moody light. Afterward, they headed over to the incomparable Opal 28 for a reception with some of their closest friends.
The emotion and genuine affection, not only between Cadence and Rob (as is evidenced in the photos), but between every human present at this wedding still warms my heart today as I look back at these. Moving my wedding photography to Portland has been a challenge, to say the least, but I am excited to see what 2018 brings.
Getting married? Looking for a rad wedding photographer that knows what moments to look for, can capture real, raw emotion without being intrusive, and is generally a hoot to be around? That's right, I'm talking about myself like I'm the coolest thing since sliced bread. Gluten free sliced bread, of course.
Let's talk. I'd love to know you.

What a beautiful day. Cadence + Rob and their families are simply magical together. Despite the heavy rain, rain, rain, we made the best of it, crammed into a gorgeous old church, hiding from the weather. We managed to pop out for a few moments, and capture some of my favourite images to date.
